Dissolve the Drama Makeup Remover and Cleanser by The Estee Edit Review

September 27, 2016 in Product Reviews

Wash away every particle of your makeup without burning your eyes thanks to The Estee Edit’s Dissolve the Drama Makeup Remover + Cleanser.

Cleansing oils are so on trend right now but this isn’t one of those trends that will vanish in a blink of an eye the way I hope overalls will. Why are they back in style?

With its light aloe scent, Dissolve the Drama melts away my makeup instantly. I just poured some cleanser into the palm of my hand and applied it to my dry face in gentle circular motions to get all of the makeup off. When you add water to this cleanser, it doesn’t lather which I like because it helps to keep my skin hydrated. Instead, it becomes a milky consistency that leave your skin feeling smooth. I like to use Dissolve the Drama as a makeup remover rather than a cleanser; not because my skin reacted negatively to it but because this product is super expensive. While skincare is an investment, I just can’t see myself spending $32 every time I need a makeup remover.

For me, the true test of any cleanser, oil or otherwise, is to see how easily it gets off all of those ‘blackest black’ mascaras. I was wearing the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara the first time I used the Dissolve the Drama Make Remover. If you’ve worn this mascara, you know it can be hell to get off your lashes and it usually takes a few tries to remove the raccoon eyes that it tends to leave behind. Honey! Listen. I put a few drops on my fingertips, gently rubbed it over my eye makeup and through my lashes and in seconds my eyes were clean. Fully clean. I just rinsed off the oil and followed up with my cleanser. If you try The Estee Edit’s Dissolve the Drama Makeup Remover + Cleanser, I know you are going to love it!
