Nyx Soft Matte Lip Review

August 11, 2016 in Product Reviews

I often find matte lipsticks a bit on the dry side. That could be easily fixed with a dab of lip balm but that ruins the texture and well, it's not so matte anymore. So I've searched high and low for a matte lipstick that wouldn't be so hard on my lips, affordable, and a big variety. When NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream came out a few years ago, there couldn't have been more than two handfuls of shades. My favorite was Amsterdam, a soft classic retro lipstick that I wore almost everyday. When I was looking for something more neutral, I would switch Antwerp, a soft pink brown. It's a cream so it's never drying with beautiful payoff. Fast forward to 2016 and there are about 35 shades now.  At about $6 a pop, I've loaded up on more shades than there are days in a month. While Tom Ford is my splurge, these lipsticks are my everyday luxury no matter how affordable.
