Best Moisturizer for the Summer

From Hang Over To Hydrated This Primer Is Top Knotch

by @twit.it.tea

I don’t know what kind of magic this is but Too Faced just put it in a bottle.  The inconspicuous primer pumps out smelling lightly of the tropics,  attributing to the infused coconut water.  It leaves your skin feeling hydrated and soft because of the ‘skin revivers’ that work together to also boost radiance, and elasticity.  The formula is a milky and creamy substance that at first looks like a moisturizer but acts as a primer to lock down makeup for a long lasting, flawless finish. I love to put this primer around my eyes because I feel like some days that is my biggest problem area and the creasing becomes harsh as the day progresses.

I’ve been using this primer for about 2 weeks now with no visible side effects.  My skin has stayed clear, redness free and hydrated.  I apply it over the Hydrating Gel from Urban Decay, and I’ve never been happier with how well balanced my skin has reacted.  My makeup is flawless through my whole work day and not nearly as oily as before.  A daily qualm I used to encounter was having to wash my face as soon as I got home from work because of the oil build up.  I could not stand being in my house feeling like I had grease covering my face, but this primer has controlled the oil for the most part.

I love the scent of coconut so I knew I would be in love with this, not to mention the coconut water was an interesting concept.  The scent to me is not very powerful, and it’s not something that you can smell through out the day.  I really can’t get over the hydration surge this gives me which I’ve come to realize is an important factor to my beauty routine. What I love most about this product is that a little goes a very long way, and it even looks great on my skin alone with no face makeup. I am giving this product 4.5 stars just because it takes veryyyyy long for the formula to dry.  Honestly, I am usually rushing in the morning so having to wait for it to fully dry is kind of a pain, but on days where I have more than 15 minutes to get ready it doesn’t bother me :)

Glotion is a thing... and it's Top Shelf Worthy! Boscia's Tsubaki Glotion is the summer supreme for glow queens!

By: Amanda V.

I give this 4 stars, not the most intense hydration for my severely parched skin but still great enough for a spot on my Top Shelf, for everyday use.

I’ve recently ran out of my go-to moisturizer and needed a back up. I saw this bottle of Boscia's Tsubuki Glotion Instant Luminizing Moisturizer just chilling on my shelf and decided to give it a go. HOLY GLITZ! This is an instantly brightening and hydrating gem! This lightweight moisturizer has a crisp, cool feeling that is silky to the touch and very quickly absorbed into the skin (My skin drank it up but then again, if you've read my previous reviews, my skin is thirsty AF). It doesn't leave a gross sticky residue (pet peeve!) or leave my T-Zone like a greasy oil slick. It gives my skin a light dewy glow courtesy of the light reflecting pigments in the product, that make me look well rested. This "Glotion" hasn't negatively affected my sensitive, dry skin or added more to my recent stress breakouts. I absolutely love the crisp, clean and calming scent. The scent is not overpowering whatsoever (so satisfying).

A before swatch...

... and an after swatch. It leaves a nice, moisturizing, dewy sheen.

The Packaging is great!! The pump perfectly controls the product, dispensing just enough in 2 pumps to instantly hydrate your face.

The antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients in this lightweight moisturizer provide the result of a youthful glowing complexion while strengthening your skin's natural moisture barrier and protecting against free radical damage and premature aging.

Although it is great and it is enough to quench the dry/combo and normal skin gals.. It is still not enough moisture for MY SEVERELY skin. I still love it, I just find that i would have to use more. Being that my T-Zone didn't grease up, I would recommend this to those on the Oily Combo side... But I just wouldn't use more than one pump. (If you are skeptical and prefer something more mattifying, maybe try Boscia's Green Tea Oil-Free moisturizer and add a drop of Becca liquid shimmering skin perfector to get that brightening, glow effect.

You can purchase Boscia's Tsubaki Lotion at your local Sephora, sephora.com and Boscia.com. You get the average size for the average price of facial moisturizer at $38 for a 1.7oz bottle.

I will continue to use up this moisturizer completely and see where it leaves my skin.
